The Company

The Company is a large global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. Its success is driven by a dynamic, highly skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.

The parent Company owns (amongst others), a subsidiary production and sales business in Spain. The business in Spain focused in its local production and covering wholesalers, distributors, food service, multiple and retail accounts via its current Sales Team.

 

This Commercial position has arisen due to the interest of the parent company for further development of the sales of its overseas portfolio in Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy,…).

 

 

The Person

We are looking a passionate and engaging Commercial Manager, strongly sales oriented, who has gained some experience in similar seafood and/or foodstuff businesses.

Confident and commercially aware, you’ll have proven records of sales achievements where you have been the driving force behind successful projects. The need to adapt to any requested level is paramount and to ensure that your negotiating skills are second to none.

The successful candidate will have a full and clean driving license, be of a smart appearance at all times and be prepared to work the hours in order to conclude the tasks.

The Role

Reporting both to the global headquarters (out of Spain) and to the subsidiary branch (in Spain), you’ll take direct responsibility for sales in Southern Europe (namely Spain, Portugal and Italy), of the company’s portfolio of seafood produced overseas.

You will manage all accounts, driving business forward, whilst actively seeking out major opportunities for the sales of the products.

Working with key customers, you will formulate tailored plans to deliver persuasive presentations, utilizing your trade, retail and food service sector knowledge to formulate effective promotional plans and drive growth in all categories.

You will be the first port of call for our current and potential customers of the products in the assigned region.

Your role will also include duties such as;

•           Stock control, both at production sites and in the region.

•           Reports

•           Trade intelligence

•           Customer relations

•           Product Innovation

You will count on the help and assistance of our current back-office and administration team in Spain. You will be coordinated with our local sales team in Spain, searching synergies among customers to be reached on both portfolios (local produce and overseas produce).
